Darren Noble
Principal Solicitor
Darren is the principal of our firm and
has 20 years experience in the construction
industry in both legal and non-legal roles.
He is familiar with most aspects of the construction
industry and has a good understanding of
building methods.
He acts for builders, developers, sub-contractors,
architects, building surveyors and owners
in building litigation matters. He manages
all of our building litigation files with
the help of our team. His clients appreciate
his hands-on style and personal attention
to their cases. He also does some advocacy
work himself, appearing in both the courts
and VCAT.
At the front end, Darren advises on risk
management and compliance issues and is a
capable legal draftsman, drawing special
conditions and special purpose contracts.
Darren is on the committee of the Building Dispute Practitioners Society and is accredited by Building Adjudication Victoria Inc as an adjudicator under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act. He is also a member of VCAT's Domestic Building List Users' Group, chaired by VCAT Deputy President Catherine Aird.
Outside the confines of the office, he enjoys
spending time with his family as well as
skiing, snowboarding and kite surfing.
Paul Berrill
Paul has a broad range of experience in construction and commercial matters. He works in a team with Darren on litigation and front-end contract advice and drafting matters.
Paul also handles building and planning prosecutions, building appeals and disciplinary matters, general commercial matters and related matters such as OH&S, intellectual property, as well as the firm’s Conveyancing files.
Paul is client focused, loyal and dedicated to finding the most straightforward solution for the needs of the client.
Outside of the offices Paul enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing touch rugby and reading. |
