Darren Noble
Principal Solicitor

Darren is the principal of our firm and has 20 years experience in the construction industry in both legal and non-legal roles. He is familiar with most aspects of the construction industry and has a good understanding of building methods.

He acts for builders, developers, sub-contractors, architects, building surveyors and owners in building litigation matters. He manages all of our building litigation files with the help of our team. His clients appreciate his hands-on style and personal attention to their cases. He also does some advocacy work himself, appearing in both the courts and VCAT.

At the front end, Darren advises on risk management and compliance issues and is a capable legal draftsman, drawing special conditions and special purpose contracts.

Darren is on the committee of the Building Dispute Practitioners Society and is accredited by Building Adjudication Victoria Inc as an adjudicator under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act. He is also a member of VCAT's Domestic Building List Users' Group, chaired by VCAT Deputy President Catherine Aird.

Outside the confines of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as skiing, snowboarding and kite surfing.

Paul Berrill

Paul has a broad range of experience in construction and commercial matters. He works in a team with Darren on litigation and front-end contract advice and drafting matters.

Paul also handles building and planning prosecutions, building appeals and disciplinary matters, general commercial matters and related matters such as OH&S, intellectual property, as well as the firm’s Conveyancing files.

Paul is client focused, loyal and dedicated to finding the most straightforward solution for the needs of the client.

Outside of the offices Paul enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing touch rugby and reading.
